Hello Robert: I read about iptalk.pro at Patently-o, and signed up right away. Thank you for your efforts. I am a Patent Practitioner, and I am glad to be here. Best regards.

Patently-o is where I heard about it also and signed up. I am in-house counsel, patent attorney, and deal mainly with technology licensing.

Cheers,

Vicki

Robert:

Any chance you can eliminate the "your post has been successfully submitted" page that appears after making a post? It is annoying (at least to me) to have to click on a link to bring me back to the thread I just posted in. Particularly because I am terrible typist and usually end up editing my posts immediately after they are submitted. I personally would prefer to be sent right back to the thread I posted in after clicking "submit."

No worries if this change is not feasible. Its just a minor nit that I thought I would raise.

Thanks,

Klav

Do you have any suggestions for how to categorize the forums?

Personally, I think your broad categories are working just fine. You might consider adding subcategories once you get tons of posts per day, but right now I eagerly read every single new post in the Patents category.

I'm a fan of reduced categories too, on any forum.

At the old site I could post something before retiring. There was a good chance there would be a response in the morning from someone elsewhere in the world.

However, at this site my posts are delayed the entire night, and do not show up until the next day, if at all. This was a big surprise to me. If removing moderation isn't an option, is there a non-usa potential moderator the mods trust who could also approve/review posts?

Does anyone in Europe of Asia wish to step up to volunteer as a moderator? Any thoughts?

The moderation only lasts for the first three posts as a spam countermeasure.

Thank very much for explaining Robert. It sounds like a great solution to the problem that destroyed the old site.
